“The music of Lee Kesselman” Choral Concert Featuring Lee Kesselman, PhD with Aurora University Choirs and Invited Guest Ensembles

Event Description The Aurora University music department welcomes Illinois composer, Lee Kesselman as its guest for the fall choral concert. The College of DuPage and area high school choirs will join in a celebration of Kesselman's many contributions to the choral arts. AU choirs will present a concert of his music, culminating with an all-choirs' performance. Lee R. Kesselman has been the director of choral activities at College of DuPage since 1981. Conductor, pianist, teacher and award-winning composer, he directs the DuPage Chorale, New Classic Singers, Chamber Singers and Concert Choir. In demand as a guest conductor and clinician, Kesselman has conducted opera and musical theatre throughout his career. A member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and recipient of over 20 ASCAP awards, Kesselman’s many compositions have been published by Boosey & Hawkes, Roger Dean Music, Colla Voce and Kesselman Press. He currently serves as president of the Illinois Choral Directors Association.
