Performing to critical acclaim celebrating their 20th anniversary year in 2017 and over 2600 shows, Dark Star Orchestra continues the Grateful Dead concert experience. Their shows are built off the Dead’s extensive catalog and the talent of these seven fine musicians. On any given night, the band will perform a show based on a set list from the Grateful Dead’s 30 years of extensive touring or use their catalog to program a unique set list for the show. Dark Star Orchestra offers much more than the sound of the Grateful Dead, they truly encapsulate the energy and the experience. It’s about a sense of familiarity. Jul 6    The Royal Affair Tour

Yes

Pioneers of progressive rock, YES have achieved worldwide success with a history spanning 47 years and 21 studio albums. The band’s current line-up consists of singer Jon Davison, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes and bassist Billy Sherwood. The band is known for its expansive songs, esoteric lyrics, elaborate album art and live stage sets. From topping the charts to epic pieces taking up a side of vinyl, and even both at the same time, YES are among of the longest lasting and the most successful of the ’70s progressive rock groups, proving to be one of the lasting success stories from that musical genre.

Asia

Asia’s debut album exploded onto the music scene in March 1982 with several Top 10 singles (“Heat of the Moment,” “Only Time Will Tell” “Sole Survivor” and more) and sales exceeding 7 million copies. This supergroup followed up their smash debut with another hit album, Alpha, which had the hits “Don’t Cry” and “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.” Throughout most of the 80s, Asia ruled the airwaves and MTV, and left sold out venues in its wake.

John Lodge

John Lodge is bass guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter for the iconic rock band, The Moody Blues. Songwriter of such mega Moody Blues hits from “Ride My SeeSaw,” to “I’m Just A Singer (In A Rock and Roll Band),” “Isn’t Life Strange?” and many more, Lodge has been performing and recording with The Moody Blues for more than five decades, selling in excess of 70 million albums. Lodge has been voted one of the “10 most influential bass players on the planet,” and has been the recipient of many awards, including ASCAP (American Society of Composers and Publishers), an Ivor Novello Award, to name just a few. He has also released two solo albums; Natural Avenue in 1977, and more recently, 10,000 Light Years Ago as well as the duo album Blue Jays in 1975 with Justin Hayward.

Carl Palmer

Carl Palmer is a drummer’s drummer. A consummate professional, a brilliant technician and a dynamic showman, he has thrilled listeners and audiences alike for nearly four decades with some of music’s most memorable bands including Atomic Rooster, The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Asia and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Along the way, his dazzling speed and mastery of the drums, combined with his infectious stage personality, have secured for him a respected place in history as one of Rock and Roll’s greatest drummers.

Jul 21    Wheels of Soul Tour 2019 Tedeschi Trucks Band, Blackberry Smoke, Shovels & Rope

Tedeschi Trucks Band

Unrivaled in their blend of American soul, blues, rock and country, the 12-member Tedeschi Trucks Band, led by the husband and wife team of guitarist Derek Trucks and vocalist/guitarist Susan Tedeschi, has curated and cultivated this family-friendly experience into a highlight of the summer concert season. Each year the band selects kindred artists to join their rolling caravan, turning each night into a unique collaborative event rather than simply a three-band bill.  Attracting larger audiences each successive year and expanding to new markets, critics hail the Wheels of Soul tour as “nothing short of spectacular,” celebrating the “life-affirming power of music played with passion, skill and artistry.” tedeschitrucksband.com

Blackberry Smoke

Acclaimed American rock band Blackberry Smoke has become known for a singular sound indebted to classic rock, blues, country and folk. Never a band that stands still, these guys average 250 shows a year and jam all night long for their fans. Not only that, this is the band that Rolling Stone said revived southern rock and toggles between s**t-kicking country, soul and heavy rock. They’ve toured with acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top and the Zac Brown Band. Now they’re coming to RiverEdge Park with Tedeschi Trucks Band for a night of some of the best damn music you’ve ever heard. blackberrysmoke.com

Shovels & Rope

What genre would you put Shovels & Rope in? Is it rock? Is it folk? Whatever it is, it’s pretty and loud and tells a good story. Husband and wife team Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent write all the songs, play all the instruments and deliver a soulful, powerful and exuberant Americana experience that perfectly complements this tour. If you’ve never heard these guys before, you’re in for a fantastic night of music that will blow you away. shovelsandrope.com
