Communications Assistant

The position assists in the day-to-day communications work of the office under the supervision of the DC-based communications director, and is the point person for press and social media in the District. Duties include drafting media advisories, remarks for events, eNewsletters, press releases, and social media content, as well as coordinating with reporters, and website management. The position is also a member of the outreach team and works under the supervision of the District Director to develop and execute outreach plans, staff the Congressman at events, and interact with stakeholders and constituents. Experience/familiarity with video editing or graphic design is a plus. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. This office is an equal opportunity employer.
